Felipe Bosch
Executive director – intergenerational center for global action (icga)
Felipe Bosch (Argentina) holds a BSc. in Geography and a BSc. in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He also holds a Master’s degree in Urban Studies from El Colegio de México and Sciences Po Paris, where he conducted a comparative thesis on the role of social movements in policymaking for the regularization of informal settlements in Argentina and Mexico. Through this activist-academic work, he deepened his understanding of social intermediation in the region beyond resource distribution—an essential factor in scaling up seeds of alternative futures.
As co-founder and analyst of the Americas Program at the Groupe d’études géopolitiques (GEG) and later managing editor of the Spanish edition of its journal Le Grand Continent, he developed a strong focus on the intersection of geopolitics and development, examining how international relations shape the potential emergence of different futures.
He was part of the team of the Chief Economist and Principal Adviser on Strategic Foresight at DG INTPA, where he co-coordinated a group of 150 officials piloting the integration of foresight methodologies into decision-making processes. He also led the design of participatory, future-oriented spaces, fostering engagement between youth and institutional frameworks. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of the Intergenerational Center for Global Action (ICGA) and as LAC Networks Weaver in the long-term governance program of the School of International Futures (SOIF). He is also collaborating with the UNDP LAC Regional Office and its futures program, helping develop toolkits and pilot initiatives to ensure public institutions are equipped to embed intergenerational, futures-oriented decision-making processes.
The Intergenerational Center for Global Action (ICGA) is a non-profit organization based in Brussels, founded in December 2023 and led by young people from the Global South engaged in different fields, including international cooperation, intergenerational justice, emerging technologies, wellbeing economics, human rights, law and business management. ICGA addresses the current interregnum by exploring the intricate connections between geopolitics and development, with a strong emphasis on networks weaving and responsible futures methods and practices.
