Pushing the agenda forward: the Future Generations Forum
CARDIFF – WALES
The Future Generations Forum brought together a global group of experts working on the topic to advance support for the UN Declaration for Future Generation and the Summit of the Future. Organised by the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, Derek Walker, and his office, the event aimed to draw valuable lessons and practices from the Wale’s experience. The forum featured engaging discussions and presentations, with participants collaborating to tackle the critical challenges facing both people and the planet. Among the attendees were other NiFG members, such as Cat Tully (SOIF), Elizabeth Dirth (ZOE), Jonas Mikkelsen (CIFS), and the Office of the Committee for the Future of Lithuania, all contributing their expertise and perspective.
One of the key outcomes of the event is the ‘Wales Protocol for Future Generations’. This reference document and pragmatic guide is designed to assist governments and stakeholders interested in promoting and implementing the Declaration for Future Generations.
